    a family business with it s main operations office in Stellenbosch South Africa HTA is personally managed by Hermann Hermann plans and arranges each safari and personally guides our clients to ensure that your experience is a memorable one HTA employs a compliment of 10 hunting and camp staff on a full time basis Hermann Meyeridricks Hermann was born in South Africa in 1970 After serving in the South African Navy for 2 years he obtained degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Stellenbosch Since 1985 he has hunted extensively in 11 countries on 3 continents particularly in Southern Africa He is licensed as a professional hunter and outfitter in South Africa He is an active member of PHASA and currently serves as its President and as acting chairman of the board of directors of it s Conservation and Empowerment Fund In addition he is a member of SCI Dallas Safari Club the Wild Sheep Foundation and the Working Retriever Club Hermann is a keen bird hunter and passionate about his gun dogs His other interests include Africana books spearfishing and cooking Hermann and Gayle live in Stellenbosch and have two sons Neil and Robert Our values Our

    mainly on our own property approximately 9 640 acres in extent This property lies on the northern edge of the Waterberg Biosphere It is approximately 3 hours by road from Johannesburg In addition we have access to additional concessions of approximately 11 000 acres 40 minutes by road from our main camp Terrain is varied comprising grasslands bushveld savanna and low mountain ranges interspersed with riverbeds and wetland areas Limpopo We hunt in 3 concessions varying from 12 000 to 70 000 acres in size in the north of the Limpopo province The areas are approximately 6 hours by road from Johannesburg These concessions consistantly produce excellent trophy quality Here one encounters typical bushveld habitat marula acacia and mopane veld interspersed with large baobabs One of the areas is home to the big five Timbavati The Timbavati APNR borders the famed Kruger National Park Here one can hunt all the members of the big five This area produces some of the best buffalo trophies taken anywhere in Africa today and also offers excellent hunting for leopard and free ranging lion One can expect to harvest a record class white rhino in here Cape Here we mainly hunt on 2 concessions 20 000 and 30 000 acres in extent one in the north east of the Eastern Cape province near the Orange River and one in the heart of the Karoo Terrain consists of mountains rolling hills and vast open plains all interspersed with riverine habitat Vegetation ranges from open acacia savannah and grassland to semi arid scrub veld The concessions are between 3 and 5 hours by road from the closest airports Cape Town Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth Other areas We have access to concessions in the Cape provinces and Kwa Zulu Natal for specialsed species particulalry caracal and some

    Matetsi Safari Area The Matetsi Safari Area is considered to be the finest hunting area in Zimbabwe today It is situated in north western Zimbabwe close to the world famous Victoria Falls Together with the Hwange Kazuma and Zambezi National Parks and the Pandamasui Forest Area it combines to form one of Africa s largest unspoilt wilderness areas covering 8 000 square miles Unit 2 is renowned for its magnificent lions and sable It also offers good elephant buffalo and leopard hunting A wide variety of plains game species occur in healthy numbers including excellent kudu waterbuck and reedbuck Camp consists of thatched bungalows each with its own en suite bathroom and a thatched dining bar area overlooking the African savannah Your hunting party will have exclusive use of the camp and area during your stay No charter flight is required to reach camp since it is only 90 minutes by road from Victoria Falls International Airport We suggest that you allow a day or two after your safari for sightseeing shopping and adventure activities in Vic Falls village PLEASE NOTE All hunts are outfitted by ZPWMA You will be accompanied by a Zimbabwe licensed professional hunter at all times
